Stretch It Out
Since you'll be in the highlands on a Tuesday afternoon...
Why not take the rest of the week off (yeah, sorry about that) and (re)discover this wonderful part of the country.

Over our years together, we have enjoyed exploring some of the highlands and islands. Both ourselves and with family, we've created wonderful memories in these special places. This is just one of the reasons we've chosen to get married here.

We could never list them all, but here are some places we love. We can't wait to hear where these winding roads took you.
Lewis & Harris
An obvious starting point
In just over an hour, you can reach the charming town of Ullapool, where you can board a ferry to Stornoway and explore the unspoilt beauty of the Isles of Lewis & Harris.

There's a special prize if you manage to get a selfie where we got engaged (Clue: There's a picture at the top of this page!)
North Coast 500
Looking for a cheeky roundtrip?
We can recommend the North Coast 500, and luckily for you, you're right at the starting point. While this is a bit of mammoth trip (unless you have an extra week off), it's a great way to see some beautiful places.
If you just fancy dipping your toes, head over to the Black Isle. It's stunning and less than 30 mins away.

This was our ferry crossing from Nigg to Cromarty. The boat ware barely bigger than the car!
Pitlochry
Ideal for a wee stopover!
One of our first trips to the highlands was to this cosy little town, perched just off the A9, and is a perfect stopover if you're heading further North. It's less than 2 hours from the venue.

A short drive away is Iain Burnett, better known as The Highland Chocolatier. Try the truffles - recently voted the best in the world - we concur!
Emma & Andrew's Wedding
